How do I join the Club?
You will need to apply for membership in writing
using our Application for Membership form. The application
must be sponsored by two current members of the Club. If
you don't know any members, call out to our Flying Field
on a Saturday or Sunday morning (in good flying weather)
and you should have no trouble finding two members who would
be only too happy to sponsor a new member! Membership is
for one year - usually covering the period 1st January to
31st December. Membership renewals should be lodged well
before 31st December of the current year. Failure to do
so, may result in the discontinuation of the said membership
without any obligation on account of the club. Fees vary
depending on the category of member - Resident Flyer, Non-Resident
Flyer and Non-Flyer.

Why should I join a Club?
Joining a club has many advantages: you can mix with like minded people; share building and flying techniques; or, socialise at Club meetings. Most importantly Club membership will give you insurance cover should your model damage someone's property or person.

What do I need to know before I start flying model aircraft?
Lots! The most important thing is to talk with experienced modellers in your local area before you do anything. Permitted radio frequencies, noise controls, Club Rules - to name just three items - will vary from place to place, so its a good idea to check all these out where you will be flying before you go and buy your first model, radio or engine. Also, while most model kits are very good, there are many tips and hints an experienced modeler can give you before you spend your money and before you start building.
If you are interested in flying model aircraft and live in Mumbai City (or closeby) come and see us at our Flying Field one Saturday or Sunday morning.
